Our Young Fives program is specifically designed to encourage and enhance the development of five-year olds and meet their unique needs. One element of the program that helps us meet the individual level and needs of each child is small group time. Small group time allows teachers to assist with and extend concepts on a more individualized basis where they more closely focus on these four objectives:

- Fine Motor (writing, painting, drawing, cutting, and gluing)
- Gross Motor (throwing, catching, skipping, and balancing)
LANGUAGE & LITERACY

- Journaling
- Predicting
- Rhyming
- Phonemic awareness
COGNITIVE
- Math (identification, formation, sequencing & counting of numbers, estimating & patterning)
- Science (cause & effect, discovery, observing, & analyzing)
SPIRITUAL / SOCIAL / EMOTIONAL
- Self-Control
